Minneapolis, Minnesota is in the running to host WWE’s grand event, WrestleMania, in 2025. According to reports from Fightful Select, discussions within the company have heavily centered around choosing Minneapolis as the host city for WrestleMania 41. City Planners have leaked this information to the local media, and WWE confirmed earlier that Minneapolis was among the interested cities vying to host the two-night spectacle.

The Arena

Fightful adds that the U.S. Bank Stadium would be the location for the show, as the temperature and baseball season could prevent the show from happening inside Target Field. The U.S. Bank Stadium has a dome, and seats well over 73,000 for Minnesota Vikings football games. WWE told Fightful Fightful that they consider the U.S. Bank Stadium as a world-class venue, and have heard that Minneapolis representatives have been “getting more aggressive” in getting non-Vikings-related events at the stadium. It was also noted that “there was a situation a few years ago where some involved with the city cost themselves a shot at WrestleMania, by leaking that the show was going to be there.”

The most recent Premium Live Event to take place in Minneapolis was TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs 2019. The show is perhaps best remembered for being the final time Roman Reigns was pinned prior to his defeat at WWE Money in the Bank earlier this month.
